FAQ

Straight answers before you book a pilot.

Common questions about WhatsApp usage, approvals, audit trails, integrations, and how the pilot works.

How it works

Getting started

BoringOps is designed to add structure without forcing your team to change how they communicate.

Does my team need a new app?

No. Staff keep sending requests via WhatsApp or Telegram as usual. BoringOps adds structure, ownership, and history behind the scenes.

What happens to WhatsApp?

WhatsApp remains the familiar input channel. BoringOps captures the message and creates a job record with owner, approval status, and audit trail.

Can managers approve in chat?

Yes, where the approval policy allows it. Sensitive workflows can require portal confirmation or additional review steps.

What if the AI is unsure?

The workflow asks for missing information, routes to a human owner, or holds the job for review. It does not silently guess on sensitive actions.

Integrations & setup

Tools and configuration

Most pilots connect within a day using the tools your team already has.

What integrations are supported?

Starting points include WhatsApp, Telegram, email, Accurate, Xero, Slack, n8n, and webhooks. Exact integrations depend on the pilot workflow you choose.

Can we start without an ERP?

Yes. Many teams start with capture, ownership, approval, and audit trail — then connect Accurate or Xero in a second phase.

How is the audit trail stored?

BoringOps stores the source message, job creation, assignments, approvals, status changes, and timestamps so every decision is easy to reconstruct.

How long does setup take?

A typical one-workflow pilot is live within one business day. Complex multi-team setups take longer — we scope it with you before starting.
